Summary: Police were called to the
scene of apparent vigilante activity last night. The Grey Gargoyle appeared
to have been miniaturized and wrapped up for the police by unregistered
heroes. This action has drawn a great deal of press, however, because of the calling
card left at the scene. A simple note, supposedly reading “NW” was attached
to the criminal and police detectives found a large piece of graffiti
proclaiming “The New Warriors Were Here!” (See photo)

- Alicia: This is so cool! If
this means what it looks like, we could finally have our team back!
- Vince: But who’s on this team?
Sure, the Warriors were pretty media shy their fiurst
time around too, but after everything that’s happened, wouldn’t
returning members be putting information out there, trying to exonerate
the Warriors who were at Stamford?
- Mark: Yeah, that’s probably right Vince, but
what if this is an instance of copycats at work? Stark says they have no
idea who this new team is composed of, and I believe him. Let’s be
honest- I’m sure the first thing they did when the cops found GG and the
graffiti was lean on Justice over at Camp Hammond.
- Alicia: Do you think Vance
would turn his friend over to the authorities? To SHIELD?
- Mark: He does work for them now. As far as I’m
concerned, he can’t be trusted.
- Carter: If that’s true, what
makes you think that the rest of the team wouldn’t think that too? Maybe
these are really our Warriors, but they’re keeping Justice out of the loop
to keep him from revealing their identities to the Initiative.
- Vince: I like that idea. Well,
I like the logic of it, even if I hate to see our team spluit up like this.
- Mark: Moving on, has anyone heard the rumors
from E! that this new team is being fronted by
Night Thrasher?
- Vince: I wish it wasn’t so,
but I think the evidence is pretty clear on this one: Night Thrasher is
dead. No way he survived Stamford.
- Carter: Why’s everyone
convinced that Night Thraher being dead means
that a Night Thrasher can’t be active right now. Any number of people
could fill that armor. For all we know, there were two or three
different Thrashes on the team during the original era!
